Account Representative - Specialty Collections

BCA Financial Services Inc. is looking for a full-time Account Representative - Specialty Collections.  The Account Representative reviews, investigates and takes action on clients’ customers’ accounts where the account is part of a non-standard workflow. The Representative addresses inquiries and concerns related to the customer’s account; improves collections on accounts through active communication, initiates appropriate action, and maintains records in accordance with company policies and procedures.  Continuously strives to provide a seamless interface for the consumer between BCA Financial Services, Inc. (BCA) and the creditor client

Essential Functions

Make outbound and receive inbound calls and maintain clear and concise documentation of all attempts and/or contacts made and received directly on the computerized collection system

Research consumer accounts in order to determine the most effective means of account resolution.

Answer all inquiries; attempt to resolve concerns by inquiring as to specific issues and clarifying those issues 

Establish and maintain long-term relationships with creditor clients as well as the customers of the creditor, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and striving to exceed expectations

Maintain assigned productivity standards and meet assigned performance standards on a consistent basis

Effectively communicate and accurately process account updates and changes

Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, look for ways to improve and promote quality, apply feedback to improve performance, monitor own work to ensure quality

Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of, and comply with, the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Florida Commercial and Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCCPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other statutes, laws and regulations pertinent to the collection industry as well as industries served.  Ensure the same level of compliance among staff

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 2 years working in a call center environment with a focus in customer service, billing or collections

Outstanding interpersonal and human relations skills

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Strong understanding of principles for providing excellent customer service including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service and continual evaluation of customer satisfaction

Knowledge of medical terminology

A proven track record of strong negotiation and trouble shooting skills

A persuasive style of communication, stimulating and motivating others to action while being aware of and responsive to their needs and concerns

Above average analytical and critical thinking skills
